Founded by Nick Bateman in 2017, Vitality Kitchens & Joinery was designed with a clear vision in mind: to create a kitchen and joinery company that prioritised honesty, quality craftsmanship and a genuinely positive client experience.
With over two decades of experience in designing and building high-end architectural joinery, Nick saw an opportunity to create a different experience for his clients. Too often, he noticed homeowners were met with pushy sales tactics, poor communication or a lack of expert design guidance. This is where Vitality Kitchens & Joinery was created to deliver the opposite: an inclusive, collaborative process where clients are heard, informed and supported from start to finish.
The name Vitality reflects the philosophy behind every project we design: breathing new life, energy, and functionality into people’s homes. It is our ethos that kitchens and custom joinery should not only look beautiful but also improve how a home feels and functions. This vision continues through our skilled team of cabinet makers who all share the same dedication to quality, integrity and attention to detail.

Unlike many renovation companies that focus solely on design and outsource manufacturing, our entire process remains in-house. From the initial consultation through to fabrication and installation, every stage is managed by our experienced, local team.
To support our commitment to excellence, Vitality Kitchens & Joinery has invested in advanced CNC machinery and industry-leading CAD software, allowing our design team to produce highly detailed plans that are sent directly to our manufacturing equipment using screen-to-machine technology. As a homeowner, it can be very time-consuming and difficult to coordinate and manage multiple contractors by yourself. That is why at Vitality Kitchens & Joinery, we offer fully managed renovation and bespoke, custom joinery in-house to simplify the process for homeowners.
Rather than having to juggle multiple trades at once, you have one dedicated team that oversees the entire project from start to finish. The end-to-end approach we offer reduces stress and supports each stage of the renovation process to go smoothly.
Our Process: Clear, Structured & Transparent
A smooth renovation process comes down to having a clear and well-managed process from the beginning. At Vitality Kitchens & Joinery, we follow a structured framework to ensure clarity, transparency and trust are established from the beginning.
Our process begins with an initial design consultation where we work closely with you to determine how you use your space, what your design preferences are and the practical requirements you want for your home. Our in-house designers then design detailed concepts and layout recommendations that ensure functionality, style and durability are delivered.
Once the design has been refined, we provide detailed CAD drawings for you to review before production begins. Manufacturing our cabinetry in-house ensures we maintain full visibility and quality control throughout each stage of the design process. The timelines vary project to project; our lead time from drawing approval to completion is typically 6-8 weeks.
Our payment schedule is structured around key project milestones to ensure a smooth and transparent process. A 10% deposit is required to secure your project, followed by 50% upon commencement of manufacturing. The remaining balance is payable before the scheduled delivery date and upon completion.
From manufacturing to installation, our team works closely with one another and keeps you informed every step of the way. This ensures expectations are clear, timelines are met, and quality is maintained throughout the entire duration of the project.

His extensive knowledge in the industry ensures that every project is approached with careful attention to detail and quality assurance.
Alex is the lead in drafting and technical cabinet development, with over 12 years of industry experience in producing detailed joinery drawings and precision manufacturing from design into production. His experience and expertise ensure that every project is finished to perfection.
For all client communication and administration, Renee is your go-to for support and any questions you may have. With over 22 years of experience in customer service, she ensures every project runs smoothly, and you are updated throughout every stage of the project.
