FAQs

The questions can seem endless and overwhelming when renovating or planning a project. Below is a list of the most common questions our team gets asked about everything from renovating, refitting or refacing a kitchen, custom joinery, measuring your space, how we quote and more.

Services

What areas do you service?

We are based in Penrith NSW but we service from Lower Blue mountains to North Sydney.

Do you offer free quotes and in home consultations?

Yes, we offer free quotes and in-home consultations.

When will I receive my joinery drawings?

Once a deposit is received, we will get to work on or drawings. They will then be emailed to you for approval.

Do you only do kitchens?

No, we design and manufacture all aspects of joinery such as new kitchens, laundries, built-in wardrobes, walk-in wardrobes, pantries, sculleries, tv units, and other custom cabinetry.

Do you organise plumbing and electrical?

We can coordinate the Plumbing and Electrical aspects for the majority of our projects with our trusted group of trades who help make the  installation process a smooth and stress free process. Whilst we do prefer to coordinate these aspects, if you wish to use your own Plumber and Electrician, this is also possible.

Kitchens

Are your Kitchens locally made?

Yes! All our cabinetry 100% locally made in our factory at Penrith NSW.

How long does the average kitchen take?

Although every kitchen is unique, we suggest that our customers allow approx. 6-8 weeks lead time from approval of drawings

How long does it take to get my kitchen drawings?

Pending our workload at the time of purchase, we allow 10 business days for the production of your kitchen drawings

Can you remove our old kitchen?

Yes, for a fee vitality kitchens and joinery can arrange for the removal & disposal your old kitchen

Do I need to know what appliances I will be using in my new kitchen before I can get plans drawn up?

Yes, in order for us to plan and design your new kitchen we will require you to know your appliance selections. This will save us from having to redesign later down the track.

How much does a kitchen cost?

Kitchen renovations can vary quite significantly based on style, size, finishes and other aspects that contribute to the final costs. The average kitchen can cost between $12-$50k. Three major items that will increase the price of your new kitchen will be things like the amount of drawers, worktop surface material and door finishes.

Caring for your joinery

How do I care for my kitchen cabinet internals? ie. Cleaning.

Whilst your cabinet internals are moisture resistant they are not waterproof. All spoils should be cleaned up immediately using a damp cloth and warm soapy water ensuring to dry the area straight after with a soft or microfibre cloth.

How do I care for my new laminate kitchen benchtops?

All spills and stains should be cleaned immediately using a damp cloth for hard to clean marks, it is advised to use mild dishwashing detergent and a damp rag. If this does not work, we advise to use an all-purpose cleaner such as Ajax spray and wipe or Windex. Never use abrasive cleaners as they will damage the surface.

How do I care for my new Caesarstone kitchen benchtops?

Stone benchtops require little maintenance to keep them looking fresh and new. It is advised that all spills and marks be cleaned immediately with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent.

 

Avoid using the same cloth you would clean your dishes with as this can transfer oils and other containments on to your Caesarstone benchtops.

 

Remember to always use a chopping board when preparing food. Do not cut directly on the stone surface.

 

Do not use products that contain trichlorethane or methylene chloride, such as paint removers or stripper. Care should also be taken to avoid any contact with oven cleaners.

How do I care for my new Smartstone kitchen benchtops?

Stone benchtops require little maintenance to keep them looking fresh and new. It is advised that all spills and marks be cleaned immediately with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent.

 

Avoid using the same cloth you would clean your dishes with as this can transfer oils and other containments on to your Smartstone benchtops.

How do I care for my new polyurethane (2-Pac) doors?

The care and maintenance of polyurethane doors is easy simply wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent or chamois ensuring to dry the area afterwards with a microfibre towel. For stubborn stains and marks such as ink, it is advised to clean this area immediately by gently wiping the surface with mentholated spirits ensuring not to repeated rub on one area. Following this clean over the affected arear with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent.

 

Never use abrasive cleaners as they will damage the surface.

Yes. We hold Contractors Licenced / Kitchen and Bathroom Renovations Licence as well as relevant insurances.

Do you have a warranty?

Yes. We have a 10 years warranty on our workmanship. We use Blum hardware for our kitchens who offer a Lifetime warranty on all drawer runners, hinges and drawers. Other fittings and accessories such as bins are guaranteed for the period stated in our suppliers manufacture warranty.
